NDT is a house of creation. Each season, we work with choreographers and artists who share our passion for experimentation, collaboration, and innovation. From emerging talent to internationally celebrated makers, and everything in between. Since 2020, NDT has been under artistic direction of Emily Molnar, who has launched the company into a new era of creativity. She programmed over 30 new artistic voices at NDT and initiated groundbreaking creations and collaborations.
We collaborate with artists including Sharon Eyal, Hofesh Shechter, Jiří Kylián, Christos Papadopoulos, Jan Martens, Gabriela Carrizo, Johan Inger, Noé Soulier, and Ohad Naharin, alongside many others. We are also proud to work closely with associate choreographers Crystal Pite, Marco Goecke, Imre van Opstal & Marne van Opstal, Marcos Morau and Jermaine Spivey, all of whom play an important role in shaping NDT’s artistic direction.
Each season, these makers create world premieres for NDT 1 and NDT 2, or return to restage existing works with our extraordinary dancers. We also support talent development for makers. With our Maker Pathway, choreographers and artists, in different phases in their careers, can get the space they need to research, deepen and strengthen their movement language, and create a new work.
